Light up a Life 2009 Tynedale Hospice at Home held its Light up a Life service outside Hexham Abbey on Saturday 5th December. The Salvation Army Band accompanied our carols as we shared in an informal service of remembrance and the lights of the Christmas tree were switched on, each light filling the darkness with the love that we have shared and which we remember with thanksgiving and joy. This year, Light up a Life raised raised £5740. The Book of Remembrance 2009 will be circulated around different Churches in the Tynedale area throughout 2010, giving people a chance to view the Book. From the end of January to April the Book will be on display in Hexham Abbey. Churches where the Book will be displayed after April will be put on the web site and advertised in the local newspaper. |
