A Concert for Jill

A  musical concert in Haltwhisle Comrades Club to be held on Saturday July 17th, 7.30pm - 11.30pm in aid of Tynedale Hospice at Home. Music by Mike Kool, The Lounge Lizards and Featured Guests.  Tickets now on sale from Tynedale Hospice at Home, La Toot in Haltwhistle and the Cumberland Building Society also in Haltwhistle.  £5 including Buffet.   Please contact the Charity office 01434 600388 for further information.

Ali Armstong has arranged to do a Parachute jump to raise funds for the Hospice.  The jump will take place on Saturday 28th August 2010 at Peterlee Parachute Centre.  It's a tandem free fall, jumping from 10,000 feet and falling at speeds between 130 and 180mph.  If you would like to know more about Alison's jump visit; http://www.skydiveacademy.org.uk.  If you would like to support Alison visit her home page on www.justgiving.com/ali-jumps-out-of-a-plane or ring the Hospice Charity Office on 01434 600388.

We were fortunate enough to have one of our volunteers providing teas at the Hexham Gathering held at the end of May.  Proceeds to Tynedale Hospice at Home.  Thank you to all who supported us at his event and to all the hard work from our volunteers providing and serving teas on the day.  £329.59 was made on the day.

At the recent Wark Charity Lunch a fantastic £3880 was made for the Hospice.  Our sincere thanks to everyone concerned in making this such a successful day.

The Northern English Singers  'Feel the Spirit' will be performing in Hexham Abbey on Saturday May 15th 2010 at 7.30pm.   This is a programme of choral and organ music presented in aid of Tynedale Hospice at Home.  Tickets £12 (£9 students) including refreshments.  Thank you to everyone who supported this event, £666.50 was raised for the Hospice.

We are very lucky to have a stand once again at Northumberland County show on Monday 31st May at Corbridge Rugby Club Ground.  Come along and support us, bring all the family for a fun day out.  Our Volunteers will be dressed in victorian costume to co incide with the display of vintage tractors. Hoopla, Bran tub and many more attractions.  The money raised at the event came to £421.64.  We would like to thank everyone who supported us on the day.

We are delighted that once again, in May 2010, there will be a Celebration of Prudhoe Music in Prudhoe Community High School at 7pm.  Guest Compere: Marian Foster (Radio Newcastle)  The date for this event is Saturday 8th May.  Tickets £5 from Prudhoe Information Centre or contact Ray Hutchinson on 0191 4144883.  email: randjhutchinson@blueyonder.co.uk   All proceeds to Tynedale Hospice at Home.  Once again this event proved to be a huge success with neary £1918.54 being made for the Hospice.

A coffee morning is held on the first Thursday of each month (excluding January) in Trinity Methodist Church Hall, Beaumont Street, Hexham.  10.00am - 12 noon.  This is organised and run by one of our volunteers who bakes all the cakes and scones. All proceeds from the coffee morning come to Tynedale Hospice at Home.  Please come along and support us.  The amount raised in June was £88.55.
